Our Christmas

Our family had a wonderful Christmas. Here is a pic of the girls on Christmas Eve....they get to open one gift from us on Christmas before we head out to visit family. This was a gift to share, really more like a family gift. It is the new Monopoly Here and Now.

On Christmas Eve we went to my husbands Father's house where the girls exchanged gifts and then we went to my Mom's house to do the same thing. We had a great time and the girls got a lot of gifts. We really enjoyed watching all the younger nieces and nephews opening all their presents. It was so much fun.

On Christmas morning our girls actually slept in until 7:30, great for me. They opened all their gifts and then we got ready. We went to my grandparents house for Christmas Dinner and it was wonderful. Aunts and Uncles and cousins and great grand kids all around.

Then we topped off our wonderful day by going to see Bedtime Stories at the theater. It was really funny. We all really enjoyed it. Going to the theater on Christmas night has been a tradition for us, we don't go to the movies often but when we do it is enjoyed.

Happy Birthday my Sweet Emeri!!

To the left is my Emeri at 2 and to the right was this past June.

It is really hard to believe that today my first born baby is 13 years old. I have so many different emotions going on right now. I am proud, happy and amazed at the young lady she is becoming and yet I am a little sad and heartbroken thinking of the tiny little girl I once had. I am so thankful to God for allowing me such a blessing to be the mother of this amazing girl and I look forward to all the wonderful things to come.

Remember to cherish every moment with your children, they do not stay little very long! I was listening to Plumb the other day, I really love her song "In My Arms". I washed the dishes, tears streaming down my face thinking of my little Angels and how big they are getting. I Pray they will ALWAYS know that their Mom and Dad are here for them but most of all that God will NEVER leave them.

Review: Olay Ribbons Body Wash

For the first time today I used Olay Ribbons Body Butter Wash. I had purchased a few bottle and they were in my stockpile. I had gotten them for practically nothing. $1 or less a piece with coupons and sales.

The one I have is the exact one pictured. Let me tell you this stuff is really good. The texture is much thicker than other body washes I have used and it is super smooth. I can't really pinpoint the scent but it smells very nice. Not too strong.

I also shaved with it and it made a great shaving cream. Now hours later my skin is so smooth. If I didn't know better I would swear I had lathered my skin in lotion after my shower. So if you get a chance to try this out I highly recommend it.

Goodies from Vocal Point

Over the last week and a half I have received several goodies from Vocal Point.
First I received a Kashi Cereal Bar sample along with a coupon for a FREE box of Kashi Cereal Bars. I also received 5 coupons for $2 off a box of Kashi Cereal Bars.

Then I received coupons for Del Monte Fruit Naturals. It included 1 buy one get one free coupon and 4 $1 off coupons. Most of these individual cup run at $1.42 each at Walmart. There is one flavor, citrus salad that is only $1 at Walmart.




Then I received one more goodie! A packet for Crest weekly clean. I received a coupon for a free one as well as a few coupons for $1 off. I just got my free one yesterday, I will be trying it today. This stuff is a little pricey. I got it at Target and it was $3.99. Although you only use it once a week. I am hoping some store has a sale on it in the next few months before the other coupons expire.

Saving Money on Electronics

I will not try to pretend like I am "electronic savvy" because I am not. Thankfully my hubby is! He works as a Computer Programmer for a national Insurance Company and has a great blog about technology.

With a lot of people buying electronics for Christmas he has a great article about Buying Refurbished electronics.

This laptop is just like the one my hubby purchased as a Birthday/Christmas gift for me in September. It was refurbished and I love it.

Progresso Gift Basket Giveaway

Thanks to the great people at MyBlogSpark I was given the opportunity to try out the new Progresso Chicken Broth. I received my basket last week. It was full of the goodies you see in the picture. A 32oz container of Progresso Chicken Broth, a recipe card holder, recipe box and wicker basket, as well as a set of serving spoons and a spoon rest.

If you haven't already tried out the new broth you are going to love it! Here you can check out one of Progresso's favorite recipes using this delicious broth. Now here is mine:

Bean and Kielbasa Soup
2 cups chicken broth
3 cans beans your choice (I like to use 1 black, 1 white and 1 red)
1 can diced tomatoes
1 pkg Kielbasa (Healthy Choice had a healthier variety)

Dice up the Kielbasa and add it to a large pot and brown. Then add the chicken broth and tomatoes. Rinse and drain the beans and add to the pot. Add enough water to cover everything 1-2 cups. Add pepper and garlic to taste. Bring to a boil then lower heat and simmer covered. I like to simmer mine for a couple hours but it should be good to go in an hour. The longer you simmer the longer the flavors mingle.
