Progresso Gift Basket Giveaway

Thanks to the great people at MyBlogSpark I was given the opportunity to try out the new Progresso Chicken Broth. I received my basket last week. It was full of the goodies you see in the picture. A 32oz container of Progresso Chicken Broth, a recipe card holder, recipe box and wicker basket, as well as a set of serving spoons and a spoon rest.

If you haven't already tried out the new broth you are going to love it! Here you can check out one of Progresso's favorite recipes using this delicious broth. Now here is mine:

Bean and Kielbasa Soup
2 cups chicken broth
3 cans beans your choice (I like to use 1 black, 1 white and 1 red)
1 can diced tomatoes
1 pkg Kielbasa (Healthy Choice had a healthier variety)

Dice up the Kielbasa and add it to a large pot and brown. Then add the chicken broth and tomatoes. Rinse and drain the beans and add to the pot. Add enough water to cover everything 1-2 cups. Add pepper and garlic to taste. Bring to a boil then lower heat and simmer covered. I like to simmer mine for a couple hours but it should be good to go in an hour. The longer you simmer the longer the flavors mingle.

I love chicken broth in everything but my favorate I have to say is stuffing.

I love this
1 cup brown rice
1 cup chicken broth
1 can chicken pieces
1 bag frozen veggies
1 cup water
bake in oven at 350 for 1 hour.

My favorite use for broth is Chicken Stew

1 lb diced chicken
1 lb diced potatoes
1 bag Asian Medley Veggies
1 cup of broth
1 cup of water
4 tablespooons of flour for thickening

Boil 1-2 hours on low. Enjoy with biscuits or add dumplings

Mine would have to be the chicken dumplings my husband fixes(also his dad as well). He makes drop dumplings and uses chicken broth in his recipe

I love to use chicken broth when making broccoli cheese casserole. It makes it super creamy and quite delictable!

I LOVE to soften Ramen noodles in chicken broth. Then, I stir fry some of the broth, noodles, peppers, onions, and chunks of chicken. When everything is done, we add one egg and scramble it all together. It is SO yummy, inexpensive, and a great homemade Lo Mein!

I love turkey soup, especially this time of year. Just put some chicken broth, cut up celery and carrots in a stock pot on medium for about an hour. The last 15 minutes, add the noodles and leftover turkey, cut into bite sizes pizza. Yummy!

It's added to a roux with evaporated milk. Then pasta, cheese and mustard. It's awesome.

I make a mean chicken curry with chicken broth. You fry up the chicken with onions and spices, add a little vermouth and then the curry powder and the chicken broth and let it stew. YUMMO

I usually cook without set recipes. I LOVE reading other recipes for ideas. At least once a week, I start a HUGE pot of soup using lower-sodium chicken broth, carrots, onions, and celery. When those vegetables are tender, I toss in every other vegetable I happen to have, either frozen, fresh, or canned. I add herbs and spices, varying between Tex-Mex flavors and Italian seasonings, depending upon whatever Progresso soup I add to it.

My soup is my favorite part of my week. It's as least as fun to make it as it is to eat it.
